Who is “ItsAmaiLife”?<\/h2>\n

\nMy name is Nina Sumter. I am predominately a Professional Voice Talent trained in character acting for voiceover, theater, and film. I have been in the business for about half a decade, and actively cultivating my skills for twice as long. I also enjoy watching anime and engaging in stimulating, philosophical discussions. What I Do<\/h2>\n

When I’m not behind the mic\u00a0or grinding whatever job I’ve taken on, I go by Destra<\/strong><\/em><\/a> as a member of the independent competitive organization Frame Advantage eSports<\/a><\/strong><\/em>. I recently also began streaming games on my Twitch channel, DestraPlays<\/a>. Fighting games are my specialty, but I also play MMOs and entered a few Dance Dance Revolution tournaments during my fighting game hiatus over a decade ago. As of now, I am playing catch-up after recently\u00a0returning to the competitive fighting game scene\u00a0<\/a>. Currently, I focus on the following games competitively:<\/p>\n

Among the four Ranking Blocks that exist – [C], [B], [A], & [S] – my guild has been in both the Top 100 in [A] Block and the Top 200 of [S] Block after only being formed in early November 2016.<\/p>\n

As a transgender woman, I want to ensure people understand, from my personal lived experience, what it means to live a life I didn’t choose. I used to think that Trump, simply by him being in power, was a threat to trans rights. However, in 2018, I decided to stop listening to leftist outrage and become more educated with reading how both the Left and Right are presenting their cases. Yes, myself and others have had struggles of varying degrees. However pointing fingers, boiling down Republicans to a single anti-trans label, and, worst of all, falling in line with mob mentality solves nothing. In light of this, my approach to transgender matters, personally and politically, have shifted. I seek the facts, instead of searching for a reason to be angry .<\/p>\n
